Word Cloud Generators- Open WORD by pulling the mouse to the bottom of the screen waiting one second and the dock will pop up – if not already showing – Select the blue W for WORD the word processing application
- Type your Name 4 times using a Capital letter first
- Then reference the qualities sheet and type at least 10 adjectives that describe you – the more the better the final piece
- Pick 3 and type them a second time
- Correct all your spelling so other than your name there are no red lines
- File save your document by putting yourname – karenb.docx and save it to the desktop
- Leave the window open
- Open WORDLE.net – a word cloud generator and select CREATE
- Highlight the text in your word document with the mouse
- Command C to copymove your cursor into the wordle box
- Command V to paste (or you can use the toolbar copy and paste menus)
- Once you have the text in place – please let me see it !
- After it is approved, hit GO
- Change the font, color, and layout.click on the 'PRINT' button on the bottom of the page – sadly we do not yet have a color printer so they will be printed in Black and white
- These will be the covers of your tech class folders – print a second copy if you would like to take one home
- To save a copy of your wordle to your personal folder as an image (jpeg) to post later, Hold the SHIFT COMMAND and 4 key simultaneously. Then use the mouse to select ONLY the screen shot you wish. This should place it right onto your desktop. Drag it into your personal folder.
- We will embed it into your webpage tomorrow.
- If you have time go to Tagxedo to create the same text in a shape ! Cut and paste from your word doc so you don't have to retype anything !
- Then please close both windows of both applications and log off student and push in your chairs
